How much does the app cost?
Homeowners are currently able to use the app for free. Service professionals are required to pay a subscription after their free trial expires. This subscription allows contractors to view service requests and initiate Virtual Bids. Leads are included in the subscription. Manage your subscription by going to Settings within the app and tap on Subscription.
How do I start a Virtual Bid?
You can start a Virtual Bid directly from the service request page, the contractor profile, within the chat page or by inviting a customer. The following video shows how contractors can initiate a Virtual Bid with their customers.
How do I pay for work completed?
Service professionals are responsible for invoicing customers directly. Virtual Bid will not collect any payments for work completed. It is solely the service professionals responsibility to collect payment from customers.
Who determines the price of a bid?
Our platform allows you to request and receive multiple bids for each project. Please review all details and use our chat feature if you have questions prior to accepting a bid from a service provider.
How do I change the details of a service request?
Once you’ve created a service request, the details can not be changed. This ensures additional work isn’t added to the request after someone has bid on the project.
If your details change or you need to cancel your request, please delete the service request by tapping on the trash can icon from the list of service requests.
How do I request a bid from a specific company?
We are currently working making this process even easier. In the meantime, you can use doing the following:
- Search for the contractor
- Tap on the chat icon in the search results to send them a message
- Tap on the video icon in the search results or on the chat page to start a Virtual Bid
Where do I report a problem?
Oh, no! We apologize for the inconvenience. You may report a problem by going to Settings within the mobile app or by sending an email to: infovirtualbidapp@gmail.com
Who will see my service request?
Service requests are sent to near by service professionals that match the service type you selected. Each company sets their own service radius. Service professionals will see your name, city and phone number during the biding process. Specific address details are not shared until the bid has been accepted.
